Ran into Troubles Getting an App up and Running on Server

The other day, I ran into some troubles getting an app working on our server. I asked to pay someone to get it up and running and eventually found that one could make it working for us. We cleared the original milestone and discussed a budget to make it running on the server. We looked into running it as a standalone app so it could be integrated into the website later. This would require an IIS Server installed on the remote machine and then the ASP file deployed to the location so it could be accessed via the web browser. We agreed to establish a sub-domain, www.ai.woolichracing.com, so it could be hosted there.

Continuing on, we had some logistical issues I had to leave for a bit during the time. We agreed to start over from the first of January onwards and I got access to the remote machine by then. Now that I had the remote desktop connection, I thought I could test and deploy the code myself if desired. However, the exact problem we ran into when testing and deploying to an IIS server remained unresolved.

Do you have any experience with similar issues? Have any advice for getting an app up and running on a server? Tell me your thoughts in the comments!
